1. Agreement to Terms

By using Hanashi, you agree to these terms. They explain how you can use the app and what to expect from the service.

2. About Hanashi

Hanashi helps you learn languages and build speaking confidence through lessons and conversation practice. The service is operated by Studio Mirai Limited, a company incorporated in Ireland.

3. Data Collection and Privacy

We store information you share with us and information about your learning, including:

• Voice recordings from speaking features
• Transcripts of conversations
• Learning progress and preferences
• Account information and usage statistics

For iOS users: By using Hanashi and making in-app purchases, you agree that we may share limited information about your purchase and use of paid features with Apple to help them review refund requests. We only share what is needed for this purpose, in line with Apple's policies.

4. Using Hanashi Responsibly

You may not use Hanashi:

• To break the law or encourage others to do so
• To violate any laws or regulations that apply to you
• To infringe our intellectual property rights or those of others
• To harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or discriminate against others
• To submit false or misleading information
• To upload viruses or other harmful code

5. Third-Party Services

We work with conversation and speech service providers to deliver lessons and conversations, and with storage and analytics providers to support the app. Where applicable, your use of these services is also subject to the providers' terms and privacy policies. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we share and why.

6. Disclaimer

The information in Hanashi is provided on an 'as is' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hanashi excludes all representations, warranties, conditions and terms whether express or implied, statutory or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitations

In no event shall Hanashi or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use Hanashi, even if Hanashi or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

8. Accuracy of Lesson Content

Lessons, replies, and other content may contain mistakes. We cannot guarantee that all content is accurate, complete, or up to date. We may update it at any time without notice.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time without notice. By continuing to use Hanashi, you agree to the terms in effect at that time.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

12. Billing and Refunds

Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. To request a refund, contact the store where you made your purchase. Its refund policy will apply.

iOS app licence: Apple’s standard EULA also applies to the iOS app.
