• Voice recordings you submit during lessons and conversations
• Generated transcripts of what you say
• Conversation content needed to generate replies during lessons and conversations
• Learning progress (vocabulary, lesson completion, and skill improvements)
• Account information (email and subscription details)
• Information about how you use the app

To provide lessons and conversations, we need to share your voice recordings, transcripts, and conversation content with our conversation and speech service providers. This processing is required for these features to work.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Deliver language lessons, conversation practice, and replies
• Understand what you say and respond during lessons and conversations
• Track learning progress and personalize your experience
• Improve app performance, reliability, and features

Voice recordings

When you use Hanashi's speaking features, we may store your voice recordings to troubleshoot problems and check the quality of your conversation experience.

We do not use your voice recordings to train AI models.

Recordings are kept for up to one year. If you delete your account, your recordings are automatically deleted as well.

We never sell your personal information. Here's who we share data with:

Apple
If you request a refund for an iOS purchase, we may share limited information about your purchase and use of paid features with Apple to help them review your request.

We require third-party providers to protect data and process it in line with applicable privacy and security obligations.

We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted and stored securely using industry-standard practices. We regularly review our security measures to keep your information safe.

6. App Store Information

Hanashi is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. When you download or purchase the app through these stores, they may collect additional information according to their own privacy policies. We don't control what information they collect.
